The World Famous Katyville Health Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center nestled in the heart of historic Katy, Texas. For over 25 years, we have offered professional services with a personal touch, in a caring and trusting environment.

Dietary

Community Life

Our dietary department is dedicated to preparing and serving excellent, tasty, quality meals according to doctors’ orders. Just like at home, we offer three daily meals consisting of a main entree with trimmings. We always offer and alternative choice meal as well. A variety of nutritional snacks and refreshments are available at any time.

Our nutritionist visits bi-monthly and plans with our dietary team to not only meet the resident’s nutritional needs, but to also focus on their personal likes in all of our meal planning.

Residents who require assistance in the dining room are referred to our restorative dining program. Our dietary manager, and the nursing and rehabilitation departments, visit residents regularly to discuss needs or concerns.

Special meals occur several times monthly, to celebrate holidays, birthdays, or just in response to residents’ requests.

Business Office

Our business office is here to serve you, to explain and manage billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance carriers and to assist those who are privately paying for care. Insurance and the Medicare/Medicaid system are highly regulated industries that are often difficult to understand. Our professional staff is ready to answer all your financial questions and concerns.

Resident Counsel

Through our resident council, residents are actively involved in how our building operates, and their suggestions help us better serve them in their home.

At World Famous Katyville, our stimulating activity program focuses on keeping our residents physically, spiritually, and mentally engaged in meaningful activities.

We visit each resident personally to discover those areas of interest and then plan schedules of activities that will interest all of our residents. The mission of our community is focused on meaningful and diverse lifestyles – we’re here to assure this mission is accomplished every day. All team members are committed to helping you continue to pursue your preferred interests and maintain as much of your chosen lifestyle as possible.

Our calendar of events is posted monthly, and we are always open to new ideas. Please feel free to contact our Activities Director to discuss ideas or volunteer. We promise you will enjoy participating with our residents in activity programs.

We have a beauty and barber shop, which is open weekly, allowing our residents to maintain the same styles they wore out in the community.

Social Services

Our social services department is focused on serving our residents from admission to discharge. We assist in completion of paperwork, and can explain the necessity and meaning of documents such as the Advanced Directive.

We can work with you and your loved ones to make decisions regarding your lifestyle and health care needs, and assist in your transition back to home or to an assisted living environment after your rehab. We manage communications with all receiving community agencies to ensure that your discharge is stress-free. Your doctors’ orders, prescriptions for medicine, therapy treatment plans, whatever your continuing needs, we will arrange for you, all with the agencies of your choice.
