Nursing
At Katyville, we offer compassionate skilled and custodial nursing care for both the short-term sub acute care or long-term care needs of your loved ones. We have the facilities and qualified staff to meet a variety of needs including, but not limtied to:
- IV therapy for antibiotics, hydration and pain management
- Management of new ostomies and feeding tubes
- Skilled nursing for short-term medication management and observation after hospitalization
- Long-term care for those suffering from dementia and chronic ailments that can no longer be managedin the patient’s home setting
- Wound care management
- Care for those requiring respiratory support and assessments, including continuous oxygen therapy, respiratory treatments/updrafts and complete tracheotomy care
- 24-hour nursing support, supervision and assessments for those requiring short-term, intensive physical, occupational or speech therapy through our rehabilitation department
- Compassionate, palliative end-of-life care for the terminally ill who may be unable to remain at home, but wish to be surrounded by loved ones in a homelike setting for their remaining days
Care Plan meetings with you and your family help us deliver the best multi-disciplinary care available for our residents. In addition, you will have the benefit of receiving your health care in a friendly and homelike atmosphere.
Rehabilitation
 Our rehabilitation department offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. We pride ourself in creating individualized treatment plans that set specific goals that will expedite the process to return each of our residents to the lifestyle that was enjoyed prior to his/her surgery or hospitalization.
Our licensed therapists work with our resident’s physicians to offer a full range of rehabilitation programs. Our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists have received specialized education and training and are prepared to address the complex needs of patients experiencing a variety of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Before admission to our healthcare center, we can assess patients in the hospital or at home. Medical conditions that may indicate the need for rehabilitative services include:
- Stroke
- Hip Fracture
- Hip or knee replacement
- Arthritis
- Amputation
- Cardiac Disease including Congestive Heart Failure or Heart Attack
- Pulmonary Disease including COPD
- General Impairment causing a decline in function
Assessments by our trained therapists will occur on admission, each quarter, or as needed, to ensure the highest level of function possible.
